![]() MaterialsLycra or ElastaneLYCRA is a man-made elastane fiber. It is always blended with other fibers and has unique stretch and recovery properties. LYCRA fiber adds comfort, fit, shape retention, durability and freedom of movement. This is achieved thanks to the unique properties of the fiber, which can be stretched up to seven times its initial length before springing back to the original position once tension is released. Any natural or man-made fibers can be mixed with LYCRA fiber. Very small amounts of LYCRA can transform the performance of a fabric – the amount of LYCRA fiber in a material can be as little as 2%. There are various ways of integrating LYCRA with other fibers to provide fabrics for all needs. Because of the use of Lycra, boxer shorts will fit skintight and will keep this appearance still giving you the freedom to move around. Boxer shorts with Lycra can stretch without losing their original shape. Above all else, LYCRA fiber is the fashionable fiber that enhances fabrics and fashions, Plus, easy care and wrinkle resistance saves time, looks good, is practical, and promotes freedom and convenience. Cotton Cotton is a soft, staple fibre that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant (Gossypium sp.), a shrub native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world, including India and Africa. The fibre most often is spun into yarn or thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile, which is the most widely used natural-fibre cloth in clothing today. Cotton is soft, strong and has a long life span. Cotton is very commonly used in undergarments, because of the moisture management (water absorbent and Hygroscopic). Coolmax Coolmax is the brandname of fabrics with moisture management. COOLMAX® fabric has proven moisture management benefits that, depending on your needs, can be applied to or found in a whole new range of clothing styles - from moderate and high-intensity performance apparel to everyday casual wear. COOLMAX® fabric is the original performance fabric that has been helping top athletes push harder and longer but is now being discovered for the cool comfort it brings to everyday apparel; your transpiration will vaporize quickly, so the wearer will keep dry. Fabrics with Coolmax don’t shrink or wrinkle. Micromodal - Modal Modal is a bio-based fiber made by spinning reconstituted cellulose from beech trees. It is about 50% more hygroscopic, or water-absorbent, per unit volume than cotton is. It is designed to dye just like cotton, and is color-fast when washed in warm water. Modal is essentially a variety of rayon. MicroModal® is the perfect fiber for lingerie applications. Fabrics of MicroModal® are feather-light and natural skin huggers. The fibres are approx. 40.000 times thinner than human hair. A 10.000 mtr long fibre may not weigh more than 1 gr. This natural raw material guarantees ideal wear properties since the fibre is gentle to the skin. Products of this micro quality are persuasive in both their handle and fineness. Micromodal absorbs better than cotton and can be supplied in vibrating colors, it is also softer and lighter than Modal. Nylon Nylon is a generic designation for a family of synthetic polymers known generically as polyamides and first produced in 1935 by Wallace Carothers at DuPont. Nylon is one of the most common polymers and is technically a synthetic linen Tactel is a synthetic fibre based on polyamides. Tactel has a perfect fit, is light, soft and supple. Easy to wash, breathable and has a natural moisture management, so it keeps the skin dry and cool. This fiber keeps it original shape, is very strong and durable, flexible, elastic, light and fine. This material doesn’t wrinkle, easy to wash and quick-dry. This material is sensitive for dry heat. Tactel is soft, light and almost feels like silk. Viscose Viscose is one of the first industrial fibers created in France before 1900. It is made from natural cellulose polymeres and continuous filaments. It is mostly used in combination with other natural or synthetic fibers. This material is skin friendly, soft and supple. It is easy to color and easy to print and also retains the color. The material is water absorbent but not water resistant. Viscose tends to wrinkle easier than cotton and can lose its shape. |
